Return to Storeroom Reason Codes

Definition

The return-to-storeroom process ensures (a) that all unused, used serviceable, repairable, and repaired in-house parts are promptly moved from a maintenance worksite to the storeroom and (b) that each return transaction is recorded correctly to maintain inventory accuracy.

These transactions are coded in the EAM/CMMS to identify the reason the item was returned to the storeroom. See examples from our Library of industry-standard Return to Storeroom Reason Codes below.
