Work Order Status Codes

Definition

Our Work Order Status Codes identify the status of maintenance work as it moves through the EAM/CMMS. These codes communicate the current status of the work and allow for easy sorting of the work order backlog. See examples from our Library of industry-proven Work Order Status Codes below. 

Code Definition Description
WREQ Work Request Initiating work request status
AFRV Awaiting Further Review Work request is awaiting further review by Engineering and/or Management.
WREJ Work Request Rejected Work request has been rejected / cancelled.
INPLN In Planning Work request is in the Work Order Backlog and the Maintenance Planner is actively planning the work.
AMATL Awaiting Materials Work is awaiting availability of materials.
RSCH Ready-to-Schedule Work is ready to be put on the Weekly Work Schedule. Required materials are on site and labor estimates are complete.
WSCHD Weekly Work Schedule Work has been placed on the Weekly Work Schedule.
DSCHD Daily Work Schedule Work has been placed on the Daily Work Schedule.
OPEN In Progress Work orders have been distributed to Maintenance Technicians for completion.
TECHCOMP Work Complete Work is physically complete. Labor times, comments, and Closing Codes have been entered and are awaiting Maintenance Supervisor approval.
